Thank You Card

Rather than color all the details of this pretty stamp, I used a circle punch to remove a small section of the stamped image, then used the Spotlight technique to color just the small punched out portion. I then offset the colored piece by raising the rest of the card with dimensionals, and replacing the colored section without dimensionally raising it. A simple way to draw your attention to a section of the image without all the trouble to color the entire image.

Gift Tag

Some time ago I promised to give my neighbor a small plant from my flower bed. Of course that meant that I would need a gift tag. I fussy cut the image, added some die cut leaves, then placed it on a scalloped oval and popped everything up with dimensionals. Some stitching was placed at the top & bottom, then placed onto a white base. A tiny gold cord bow finished it off. I hope she likes it!

Wall Hanging

I like to change decorations with the seasons and every holiday or special occasion. I save space by using a picture frame over and over to change what is in the frame depending on what I am decorating for. You can keep the full size pages in a sheet protector in a notebook to change as needed and you won’t believe how much space you will save for your stored decorations. Here’s a Spring decoration made with stamps and die cuts.

Button Jar

Did you know you can stamp on many types of medium – including aida cloth? I think it looks a bit embroidered/cross stitched. I used permanent black ink to stamp an outline image and colored in with markers before placing it on a mason jar. A pretty ribbon above and below the aida cloth and on the jar rim finishes it off. Put stuffing on the jar lid and cover with a pretty cloth to make a pin cushion.

Enjoy The Day Card

Did you know that you can make your own greeting? Here I combined two stamps and, using markers, inked only the parts I wanted to use to come up with my own words. Of course using a positioner also helps place things in the exact spot you need. I don’t know how I stamped so many years without my Stamparatus from Stampin’ Up!
